Ethan Hawke’s Early Life and Education
He was born on 6 November 1970, in Austin, Texas, USA. He is the son of an insurance actuary James Hawke and charity worker Leslie Green. His parents were separated when he was only four. His mother raised him alone afterward. Hawke’s mother remarried when he was ten and relocated to West Windsor Township, New Jersey.
He first attended Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn heights. After his mother’s marriage, he attended West-Plainsboro High School South. He then transferred t the Hun School of Princeton and graduated in 1988.
Furthermore, he enrolled in Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to study acting but dropped out after his cast in Dead Poet’s Story and later again attended New York University’s English program for two years.

Etha Hawke made his debut in the movie Explorers in 1985. His breakthrough came from the movie Dead Poets Society in 1989.
