Ted Nugent’s Early Life and Education
He was born on December 13, 1948, in Redford, Michigan, USA. He is the son of army sergeant Warren Henry Nugent and Marion Dorothy Johnson. Ted grew up with his three siblings, John, Kathy, and Jefferey. He holds an American nationality and his star symbol is Sagittarius.
He attended St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and then shifted to William Fremd High School, in Palatine, Illinois.
Ted Nugent’s Professional Career
Ted Nugent initially worked as a lead guitarist and occasional singer for the band The Amboy Dukes in 1963. The band played hard rock and psychedelic rock. After the end of the band, he went on to pursue a solo career in music. Despite having an amazing and distinctive voice, he toured and recorded with other singers like Brian Howe and Meat Loaf for a long time.
In 1977, he gave his biggest hit song Cat Scratch Fever, and from the late ’80s to early ’90s, he was a part of the supergroup “Damn Yankees”. Later, he showed his interest in conservative political views. He also advocated for hunting and gun ownership rights. He became the board member of the National Rifle Association and is a strong Republican supporter.
