He was born on 6th December 1994 in Athens, Greece. He is the son of a Nigerian football player Charles Antetokounmpo and a high jumper Veronica Antetokounmpo. Giannis grew up with his four brothers, Thanasis, Francis, Alexis, and Kostas. His family moved from Nigeria to Greece and struggled very hard to find a job. He belongs to the Nigerian ethnicity and his star symbol is Sagittarius.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Professional Life
Giannis began playing basketball in the youth teams of Filathlitikos in Greece. In 2011, he played for the senior team right before joining the 2013 NBA draft and was picked by the Milwaukee Bucks. Likewise, in 2016-17, Antetokounmpo led the team in all five main statistical categories and was the first athlete to complete a regular season in the top 20 in all five statistics of total points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals.
Finally, In 2017, he received the Most Improved Player award. He won the NBA Most Valuable Player Awards in 2019 and 2020 back-to-back and joined LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players in NBA history to win 2 MVPs before the age of 26. In 2020, he became the NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks to lead to their first NBA championship since 1971 and became Finals MVP.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Personal Life
Giannis is currently in a relationship with Mariah Riddlesprigger. On February 10, 2020, she gave birth to their first son, Liam Charles. She is again pregnant with their second baby as of May 2021. However, the pair isn’t married yet but, they are certainly living a delightful life with each other.
