Jim Acosta is an American broadcast journalist and anchor. He is currently the chief domestic correspondent for CNN.

Jim Acosta’s Early Life and Education

He was born on 17 April 1971, in Washington D.C., USA. There is not much given about his family background but, his father came to the U.S. at the age of 11 as a refugee from Cuba. Likewise, there is nothing concerning about his siblings. He belongs to the Cuban, Irish, and Czech ethnicity.

Similarly, Jim attended Annandale High School. Furthermore, he enrolled in James Madison University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a minor in political science.

Jim Acosta is a journalist and the chief domestic correspondent at CNN. Prior to that, he worked as the network’s chief White House correspondent throughout the Trump administration and obtained national recognition for his clashes with former President Donald Trump. He has even covered Obama’s administration. After Trump’s retirement from the White House, CNN appointed him as the Chief Domestic Correspondent.

Jim Acosta is a divorced man. Previously, he tied his knots with his long-term girlfriend, a registered nurse, Sharon Mobley Stow. The pair tied their knots in 1993 yet their exact wedding date is unknown. Their wedding was held in a very intimate way attended only by family and close relatives. Together, they have three children, two daughters, and a son.

The couple’s long married life began showing complications over time. After spending 24 years of their married life together, their marriage came to a point when it was unmendable. They finally got divorced in 2017 and moved on with their lives. After their divorce, he is still living a single life.
