Marlon Wayans is an American comedian, actor, producer, and writer. He is even popular for being a member of the Wayans family of entertainers.
Marlon Wayans’ Early Life and Education:
He was born on July 23, 1972, in New York City, New York, USA. He is the son of a supermarket manager father, Howell Stouten Wayans, and a social worker and homemaker mother, Elvira Alethia. Likewise, he grew up along with his nine siblings, five sisters Elvira, Kim, Vonnie, Deidra, and Nadia, and four brothers, Shawn, Keenen, Damon, and Dwayne. He is the youngest of ten siblings and was raised in the housing projects of New York City.
Marlon graduated from Floerllo H, LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts. Moreover, he enrolled at Howard University, Washington D.C., and dropped out after attending two years.
Marlon Wayans’ Professional Life:
Marlon Wayans began his career when he worked for his brother Keenen’s show In Living Color between 1992 and 1993. Furthermore, he went on to co-star along with his brother Shawn in the WB sitcom The Wayans Bros. He was also considered for the role of Robin in the 1992 movie Batman Returns but, the character was omitted as they were too many.
Marlon worked as the producer of two movies of the Scary Movie series. Shawn wrote and co-starred in the movies. In 2000, he appeared in the American psychological drama Requiem for a Dream as Tyrone C, and as Snails in the action-adventure film Dungeons & Dragons. Wayans also became the producer of the Nickelodeon animated TV series Thugaboo. NBC provided him his own sitcom Marlon in 2017 for a 10-episode run and again renewed for a second season by NBC. It is even available on Netflix.
Marlon Wayans’ Personal Life:
Marlon Wayans is a divorced man. He previously married American TV actress Angelica Zachary. Before sharing their vows, they were well acquainted with each other. The pair dated for a long time and finally tied their knots in 2005. Together, they have two children. Unfortunately, their marriage came to an end in 2013 when their divorce was finalized.
