Spencer Rivers is a former American basketball player. He is currently working as a Skills Development Coach for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Spencer Rivers’ Early Life and Education:
He was born on June 27, 1995, in San Antonio, Texas, USA. He is the son of former basketball player and coach Doc Rivers and his mother Kristen Rivers. Spencer grew up with his three siblings, Jeremiah, Austin, and Callie. He belongs to African-American and probably French ethnicity. He holds an American nationality and his zodiac sign is Cancer.
Rivers attended Winter Park High School, Florida. Moreover, he enrolled at the University of California, Irvine, and played basketball for the college.
Spencer Rivers’ Professional Career:
Spencer Rivers began his career playing for his high school team in Winter Park, Florida. There, he was a three-time letter winner and also took his team to the state title. In his senior year, he was named Florida Mr. Basketball. Likewise, in November 2013, he signed to play for his college basketball at the University of California, Irvine. During his time in UCI, he had career averages of 5.5 points and 4 rebounds.
Throughout his career, he has won many matches. He was even named the Oakland Regional’s Most Outstanding Player after his match against Memphis. However, he retired from his career early and on November 9, 2020, he became the assistant coach under Doc Rivers for the Philadelphia 76ers. Moreover, his two brothers, Jeremiah and Austin, both are basketball players.
His older brother Jeremiah, a former player played for Maine Red Claws. He first played for his college team at Indiana University. Meanwhile his other brother, Austin currently plays the Denver Nuggets. Prior to that, he played for teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunders, New York Knicks, and more. His sister, Callie, is a former volleyball player who played for the University of Florida.
