Joe Gatto is an American comedian, producer, and actor. He is famous for appearing in the American TV show Impractical Jokers.
Joe Gatto’s Early Life and Education:
Joseph Anthony Gatto Jr., widely known as Joe Gatto was born on June 5, 1976, in Staten Island, New York, USA. He is the son of his father Joseph Anthony Gatto and his mother Gerri Gatto who passed away in 2012. Joe was raised along with his two elder sisters Carla Gatto and Gina Gatto. Moreover belongs to Italian ancestry and his star sign is Gemini.
Talking about his academics, he attended the Monsignor Farell High School. He along with Murray, Quinn, and Vulcano created a high school’s Improvisation Club. Furthermore, he attended Long Island University and graduated with a degree in Accounting.
Joe Gatto’s Professional Career:
After his college graduation, he reunited with his school friends James Murray, Sal Vulcano, and Brian Quinn. They began rehearsing their improvisation at his house prior to going on improv and sketch comedy troupe. They named themselves The Tenderloins in 1998. The group performed comedy sketches together and posted them on YouTube, Metacafe, and MySpace. Their videos got millions of views online.
They even won a grand prize of $100,000 in the NBC It’s Your Show competition for the sketch “Time Thugs”. Eventually, they started their own TV show, Impractical Jokers. Their show premiered on TruTV on December 15, 2011. In their first season, their show was watched by 32 million people. Progressively, their show became the most popular series on TruTV and made him famous in the public.
The Tenderloins started presenting a podcast in April 2012 which is available on their website on iTunes. Likewise, in 2019, he along with his fellow members appeared in The Misery Index hosted by Jameela Jamil. The show is based on Andy Breckman’s card game “Shit Happens”.
